Professional pride

Heart and craftsmanship in every roast

With focus on thoroughness, insight, and depth

At Holy Bean, we share, together with you, the passion for coffee.
The curiosity to explore a complex universe and the striving to refine the craft in working with coffee.

In the old beautiful power plant in Aarup, we have created a micro-roastery where craftsmanship and quality go hand in hand. We work with light-roasted specialty coffees to highlight the unique characteristics and taste notes and ensure a fantastic tasty coffee experience. Our approach is characterized by thoroughness, insight and immersion, which is reflected in every cup of coffee we produce.

A different side of what a coffee roastery can be

With a feminine, playful touch

A micro-roastery primarily run by women with focus on personal relationships

At Holy Bean, we believe that good collaboration is built on trust – that you can count on each other, and that decisions are made with care and grounded in something bigger. When people meet Holy Bean, they feel the personality that has helped create our identity. There’s a feminine touch and lightness, both in our way of communicating coffee’s complex universe and in the taste experience itself. Our coffee is characterized by bright, elegant notes and floral nuances that make each cup unique.

The entrepreneurial journey

The small roastery with big personality

Holy Bean micro-roastery is absolutely essential to me. It’s my passion project.

It has always been important for me to run my business with self-respect and integrity, always keeping my authentic self on the journey. Being able to look myself in the eye and build something based on values like decency and responsibility means everything to me. I’ve always had ambitions to run a business, but without compromising my personal principles. It’s this authenticity, warmth, and light approach that is clearly felt in Holy Bean.

It’s important to me that we as a company are credible – both to our customers, our suppliers, and especially the amazing coffee farmers we work with. That’s why I’ve personally traveled to five different countries to learn from these people’s experiences and knowledge, and to create genuine, respectful relationships throughout the industry.

Professionalism is highly valued

SCA certified roaster and judge

For us, it's a moment to enjoy, a story to share, and a journey to experience.

SCA stands for Specialty Coffee Association and is a global industry organization working to promote quality, education, and responsibility in the coffee industry, as well as ensuring high professionalism among coffee specialists, roasters, baristas, and everyone involved in the coffee value chain.

The certification itself underlines our and especially Sine’s commitment to high professionalism, responsibility, and quality in all parts of our roasting process. It means we follow strict standards while ensuring each batch is of the finest quality. Additionally, Sine has repeatedly served as a judge at national SCA championships.

Coziness and community

Coffee creates personal relationships

For us, it's a moment to enjoy, a story to share, and a journey to experience.

At Holy Bean, we believe coffee is about more than just taste – it’s an opportunity to create community, presence, and good relationships. A cup of coffee brings people together, regardless of time and place, and creates occasions for cozy moments and personal conversations. We believe coffee can help strengthen human bonds and create space for presence in a busy everyday life. Therefore, with each cup, we wish to contribute to the community and the relationships that make life more meaningful.

Our philosophy is built on responsibility

With consideration for people and environment

At Holy Bean, we believe in responsibility and thoughtfulness. We believe that true quality is about much more than the green coffee bean.

At Holy Bean, we have started a conscious journey towards becoming a more responsible company, where consideration and respect for people and environment are central. We actively work to improve our processes, ensure traceability, and empower women in the coffee industry. Our goal is to create coffee with sincerity that makes a difference – today and in the future.

Reusable packaging

At Holy Bean, we aim to minimize our packaging. One of our initiatives is the collaboration with RE-ZIP. RE-ZIP is circular packaging that breaks with the use-and-throw-away culture. Every time we produce new packaging, we unnecessarily burden the environment. Therefore, RE-ZIP has produced packaging that can enter a circular cycle, where the packaging is reused many times before being recycled. And NOW it’s also possible for you to have your coffee sent in a circular RE-ZIP packaging.

Shade trees

At Holy Bean, we are conscious about our approach to coffee production, and here shade trees play a central role. Growing coffee under shade trees creates a more natural and balanced environment that promotes coffee plant well-being and protects soil health. Shade trees can help preserve biodiversity, reduce the need for chemical growth agents, and improve coffee complexity.

Many small farmers

Social responsibility is very important to us, and when sourcing our coffees, we look at quality and the role coffee plays in the local community. Therefore, when sourcing coffees, we focus on whether small farmers have access to guidance and training through organizations like The Santuario Innovation Center Programme, through cooperatives or washing stations. Getting help with exporting their coffees and whether they give back to the local community. By choosing coffee from small, committed farmers, you not only get a unique taste experience but also the opportunity to contribute to positive changes in the coffee industry. For us, it’s about cultivating quality with consideration and respect for the people who are passionate about their craft.
