Roasted using a medium roast profile

A classic traditional coffee experience

The coffee from Sumatra in Indonesia is undoubtedly one of our strongest coffees. With our medium roast profile, it’s a coffee that has a full-bodied aroma while being low in acidity. Definitely a coffee we’ve selected and roasted to create a more classic, traditional coffee experience.

A coffee in the darker part of the flavor wheel

Indonesia Sumatra Mandheling

This coffee is grown at 1200-1500 meters above sea level, and the processing method is wet hulled. In the production of coffee trees in Sumatra, this unique method, also called Gilling Basah, is used. It gives a strong body and spicy flavor notes. You’ll get the same experience in this cup. The flavor notes are walnut and spices.

Volcanic islands: breeding ground for good coffee

Some of the world's most popular coffees come from Indonesian islands

The coffee comes from the western part of Sumatra in Indonesia and is known for its production systems that ensure diverse biodiversity.

Many of Indonesia’s islands have been shaped by volcanoes, making the soil rich in volcanic ash, which is so good for coffee cultivation. It’s no wonder that some of the world’s most popular coffees come from the islands of Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Java.
