A beanie that makes a difference – at Holy Bean, we believe in integrity and responsibility, and we believe that by buying high-quality coffee, we help to influence the hands that produce our coffee.
With the coffee beanies from Coffee Beanies, we are helping to create even better living conditions for female coffee farmers in Burundi and Rwanda. The beanies help to create a good supplement and a more long-term income, as coffee production is most often seasonal. The female African coffee farmers have been trained to hand-knit sustainable beanies based on a slow fashion principle, and for each knitted beanie, their weekly income is doubled. The idea behind the project is to help some of the world’s poorest people to help themselves, and we think that’s a good idea. So every time you buy a Coffee Beanies beanie or higher quality coffee, you are helping to make a difference for the local coffee farmers.
The beanies are handmade in a super nice quality of alpaca wool blend and 18% polyamide, which is now recycled.
